Overview of the Course

This regulated and nationally recognised qualification has been specifically designed to increase awareness of safety considerations whilst working at height, including the importance of the equipment used and how to ensure a safe working environment. The Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Working at Height (RQF) is ideal for those who work or are aspiring to work in any type of environment that may require them to work at height, such as: construction, agriculture, forestry, factories and warehouses.

Course loading 12 learners per course

Course duration 1/2 day

Course content

Legislation, regulations, roles and responsibilities when working at height the consequences of non-compliance safe working practices when working at height. How to reduce the risks from:

Weather conditions
Working environments
Others working at height
Falling objects
Fragile surfaces Importance of risk assessments
Rescue plan requirement
Types of equipment and testing requirements
Identifying safety precautions when using equipment
Reporting procedures when equipment is faulty

Course delivery model

Classroom and practical sessions.

Pre-Requisites & Requirements

Learners must be at least 16 years old on the first day of the training. There are no other formal entry requirements but to benefit from the learning we advise that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy or equivalent.

Completion of the course

Learners will receive an E-Certificate on successful completion of the course. We recommend that a refresher course is completed within 3 years.
