What data we hold:

The personal data you provide us when you enter into an agreement with us includes your full name, your date of birth, your National Insurance number and your personal address.

If you elect to take any assessments with us, then we will hold records of your assessment. We also hold copies of your CV if you have elected to allow us to contact potential employers on your behalf.

We store records of payments made by customers in order to keep accurate financial records, however we never store your bank account, credit or debit card numbers.

 

What we do with this data:

We use this data to provide our services to you, to operate our business, and to maintain records of our company’s activities. We store this data so that we can confirm your training with us.

It is necessary for us to pass your data to awarding bodies so qualifications can be confirmed and certificates awarded. The awarding bodies will then hold that data.

Your data is held securely at all times and is encrypted both at rest and in transit.

 

Your data and third parties:

We take privacy extremely seriously, and only pass on your data to third parties where it is necessary for us to do so to fulfil our obligations to you. This means we pass your data to certification bodies to confirm your training. Where you have permitted us to do so we will also pass your data to potential employers.

 

Disclosure of data:

We never disclose information about you unless we have your consent, or unless we are legally compelled to do so.

 

Your right to access data we hold:

You have the right to access any data we hold on you at any time. We only hold this information in order to provide services as stated above, but we recognise that it is your right to request access to this data at any time.

Akona Ltd will use documentation of complaints, corrective and preventative actions as positive tools for improvement and will systematically and regularly audit and review their key processes.
