Training For Tomorrow
Persons gaining this qualification will know that supervisors, managers and team leaders have legal and moral obligations to ensure health and safety within a business, and that this includes obligations to employees, contractors, visitors and suppliers. Its syllabus areas are regarded by the Health and Safety Executive as being important to developing and maintaining safe working procedures in the workplace. Learners will be required to attend classroom sessions over 30 guided learning hours (4 days)
Akona delivers the Qualsafe Level 2 Award in Citizen AID (RQF) this is a regulated qualification designed to teach members of the public life-saving skills for use in the event of a deliberate multiple casualty incident. Based on the Citizen AID Pocket Guide and Phone App, this 3 hour qualification will teach learners how to react safely, pass on effective messages to the emergency services, prioritise the injured and give life-saving first aid in these extreme situations.

Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with severe external bleeding
The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training. Over a 3-day period, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid situations, including: assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, heart attacks, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, anaphylaxis and more.
