The Akona course will meet to the Awarding Bodies standard and provide you with sessions that cover the teaching role and responsibilities in education and training, ways to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment, the relationships between teachers and other professionals in education and training, inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training and ways to create an inclusive teaching and learning environment. Learners will be assessed by the completion of a portfolio of evidence.
This qualification is aimed at individuals who wish to deliver scenario-based conflict management training. It is suitable for delivery across a wide range of sectors and is of particular benefit to those delivering training in a customer-facing role. It also meets the requirements of the Security Industry Authority (SIA) for those delivering the licence to practice qualifications which include scenario-based conflict management training. This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence, a practical demonstration and a distance learning assignment total guided learning hours 30 (4 days)
This qualification is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in a workshop, classroom or other training environment other than assessing competence in a work environment. The total qualification time for this qualification is 150 hours and of this 84 hours are recommended as guided learning hours. This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence.
This qualification is designed to prepare trainee teachers to teach in a wide range of contexts. It requires observation and assessment of practice and the range of optional units available provide opportunities to contextualise the qualification for different learning environments.
This qualification is intended for those who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of internal quality assurance without any requirement to practice. The objective of the qualification is to support a role in the workplace, or to prepare learners to progress to a qualification in the same subject area but at a higher level or where more specific knowledge, skills and understanding is required. The IQA role provides centres with the necessary quality assurance policy and procedures whenever delivering Awarding bodies qualifications.
The total qualification time for this qualification is 120 hours and of this 90 hours are recommended as guided learning hours.
